Testing MOF materials against acetic acid at ENSICAEN
Zurück

Moisés Pinto from Instituto Superior Técnico (IST) recently visited the ENSICAEN team at the Laboratory of Catalysis and Spectrochemistry in Caen, where operando IR/MS experiments on acetic acid adsorption are currently underway.

Acetic acid is one of the key gases emitted by deteriorating artefacts such as acetate films, making it a priority target for SIMIACCI’s air purification solutions. By measuring the absorption capacities and regeneration modes of MOF-based filters, the ENSICAEN team is directly contributing to the identification of the best material formulations for GLAM environments.
