ENSICAEN is a public institution which is accredited to issue Engineering Diplomas (equivalent of a MSc) in Physical Engineering, Computer Science, Materials Science, and Chemistry. ENSICAEN hosts a research center as well, with 700 researchers in 6 laboratories of excellence, shared with University of Caen, CNRS and CEA.

LCS laboratory at ENSICAEN is a mixed research unit between universities and CNRS, with around 100 members (20 professors and researchers, 18 technical and support staff, plus students and post-docs) working on divided solids synthesis, characterisation, and application in catalysis and filtering. They have specific experience in zeolites and MOFs, notably in their use for pollutant removal.
