With over 250-year history, ABK Stuttgart is a fine arts academy with one of the richest traditions in Germany. The Conservation Department holds wide expertise in conservation and restoration of audiovisual, photographic, paper based, and ethnographic assets and addresses issues of material handling and long-term preservation. It is dedicated to teaching and research, the implementation of development projects and consulting in all areas of art and cultural property.

Role in the project

ABK Stuttgart will be involved in the following activities: define specifications of new sorbent technologies for IAQ control in GLAMs (WP4), conduct stability and compatibility tests of new adsorbent materials for their application in GLAMs (WP7), monitor air quality with a wireless connection and IT framework (WP8), develop and implement a predictive maintenance tool (WP9), optimize devices, conduct lab tests and validation (WP10), co-create the business model, market validation, and exploitation strategy (WP12), and contribute to communication, dissemination, clustering activities, and IPR management (WP 13-15).
